Sex this Festae!!!

This is the biggest out of the 5 Festaes I have. Literally within the last few days, it has started to color up alot. For scale its about 4 in maybe alittle more. Thanks

+1. The black dorsal fin is a give away.

I think it can still go either way, the dorsal fin looks black but it also looks as if the stripes go right up into it rather than a solid blotch. If you can get a picture of the festae with its fins fanned out, that would help see if its a blotch or not. I do see some spangling on the body and tail fin too, but it doesn't look like much so it might be losing them, which is a sign of a female. Still hard to tell. Very nice fish, either way!

It looks like a male. Just because the dorsal fin is dark doesn't mean anything. And its just stripes going into the dorsal which is a usual trait for a male. Females dorsals only get the first third that is black. But I'd say give it about a month and re-post and we can give a better shot, because right now it can really go either way

deffinently a male spangling through the body and the dorsal fin is striped not solid
