gilkm, i meant to tell you before on that other thread i had but the salvini's on your avatar are beautiful, what are their sizes and what's their diet?
I had a breeding pair when I was like 14...19years ago! If I remember correctly like most of the central american cichlids the dorsal and anal fins were longer and more pointed at the ends by the tail fin on the mail and by the look of your photo I'm geussing male. I think the salvinis are pretty fish. Good luck if trying to breed them - shouldn't be difficult
The male is 5-6" and the female is about 3 1/2". As for diet, I have a container with mixed pellets as their staple. This includes, Hikari Bio-Gold, color enhancing koi pellets, HBH Super Soft Krill pellets, hbh african cichlid attack pellets. And then for treats, they will get the occassional cube of frozen bloodworms.
