Only true way is to vent them...but from what I have read the female will have a darker area on the front half of the dorsal fin...like from that spot on the back forward.

I've read that as well but i've also read that some will not show at all. These two are really throwing me for a loop. The one i assume is male chases the other one time to time. Then sometimes the assumed male starts to display for the other(fins fully extended, head shaking, changing colors). At other times the assumed female will come up to the assumed male rubbing against him then he chases her away.

Is the one you think is male the larger one? I have 2 that I wasnt sure...I think they are female now becasue I sometimes see the faint darkness from that top spot on the back to the front.

Yep the larger one i think is the male.

I know its not a certain thing either like the dark mark but I find most of my males are larger than there females. Vent them I bet they are a m/f

Hey zach, if you do end up finding out they are both female, let me know... I'd like to get one from you. Hope all is going well with you in the new year!
