Hello everyone,
I have a 8" midas that is around 1.5 years old, and the whole time I thought he was male until recently when a large white vent tube appeared. It is extremely territorial/aggressive and has a nuchal hump and long dorsal/ventral fins, but the tube looks similar to my female dovii before spawning, so now I'm not sure. I put him with my 10" male super red dragon in a divided tank, and this is the first time the midas hasn't tried to break the divider to kill another fish (Its probably killed at least 10 fish before I set up his own tank). Ill try to attatch a few pics, if anybody could help I would GREATLY appreciate it. theres also a pic of a king kamfa flowerhorn that I have also been trying to sex for a year but keep going back and forth, i think its a female because it doesn't have a kok but if anybody has a better idea please let me know. Thanks in advance

yea it was impossible to get a clear pic with my phone, the vent looks a little bit pointed but its got a white tube sticking out so im not sure. the head doesnt seem to be as big as other males ive seen either

haha yeah ive seriously been trying for a year and i know how to do it but it almost blends in with his stomach. the second anal pore kind of looks like a v but its also much smaller than the front pore

Some one told me you take malachite blue and put some one a q tip and put it on the breeding tube. You could probably do it with a blue/red food coloring.
