Sexing an Electric Blue acara

I have a 75 Gallon with South American Cichlids. I have an Oscar, Jack Dempsey, Turquoise Severum, Red Texas, and an Electric Blue Scars that I'm growing out to put in the tank. I need help sexing the Acara because I would like to get another and breed them some. I also have a question about my Jack Dempsey's coloring.

Both sexes of the electric blue acara look very similar. Best bet is to vent the fish. My best guess is that your acara is a male.
What is your question about the jack dempsey's color? Second picture is a texas cichlid and an oscar.

It's a Jack Dempsey I assure you. The front half of its body is Grey and the Back half is a darker blue. Is it just not fully colored up yet because it is not fully developed? And thank you for the help with the Acara
