I am in need of some information i need to know how to sex my obpeacocks so i can tell if i have both males or femals and what the water specifications have to be for them to breed.

The male will have a headhump but I'm not sure how else to tell.

This thread needs to be moved to the Peacock Bass section ASAP.

Ya, the females don't develop body color other than sort of drab greyish-brown and black stripes, maybe light blue or orange just spotting the very top of dorsal fin. They stay in that coloration. As mentioned, the males will start showing some blue, maybe a pale orange, at 3 or 4 months. I had a nice run of breeding with mine until my big ol' male died a mystery death. Hmm, in 3 years he never developed any kind of nuchal hump; neither did my Taiwan Reef Peacocks.
