Not gonna happen from that one picture. I found with mine that the males grew faster, but you are gonna have to wait for it to put on some size to get a definitive answer. And then I'd vent it.

Its a Vieja Argentae and very difficult to sex at that size. Like the above post stated, you will have to let it put on some good size. Males will also develop a more pronounced nuchal hump and are generally more aggressive ime.
Over 6" the males profile is different, and the males have less dramatic coloration.
They are not from Argentina, but Central America. The name argent refers to their silver color.
I had to look up what Argentine meant. It actually doesn't mean from Argentina, that would be Argentinian I guess? It means relating to or resembling silver, which is a pretty accurate description.
