If you have more than a M/F pair, two males could look like a pair since the dominant male will be more highly colored than the recessive male.
Males become a solid color (with spangles). Females retain remnants of the dark vertical banding of the normal green-morph bay snook.
If raised together, males out pace and outgrow females. And, breeding size females (7-8") will be more plump from egg development. Females reach about a foot.
Males become sexually mature, at about 1/2 their adult size, at 9" (Adult males hit 18-20")
