so i did searches on google and here..
but i can't seem to get the exact info. i'm looking for(as always)

can males have orange stomches that aren't too bright?
i read that the females usually have vertical stripes but what about males?

so there are 6 bluegill in the tank.
randing from 4~7".
all of them have vertical stripes..some you can clearly tell, others are a little pale.
some have really dark colored bodies, others are light.
same goes with the blue "gill" a shiny blue an dark blue.

haha and did i just stock my pond with only females?!!!lol

i really wanted one that was; really bright orange and shiny blue! that's a male right?

yes females are quite drab when compared to a male in breeding dress. Males have the orange "throat" that gets a little after breeding ends. Did you just put them in the tank? Sometimes it takes a while for then to get a little color back.
