sexing Buttikoferi

So I'm wondering if anyone knows how to sex a Buttikoferi.

He/Shes like 8in now.

Hes quite the avid builder, he will move all the gravel out out so hes got a big bare circle of tank bottom. Today he spent a few hours picking up the gravel and stacking it on top a piece of driftwood.

I know some cichlids will make 'nest areas,' but i dont know if its the females or males job. And my family was wondering if thats what is going on, or if hes just bored or perhaps crazy.

You can't sex them, and that's normal behavior for these guys

you could vent then but they females i believe are more rounder but i am not sure about that

i have 6 butti's and i too have noticed my females are rounder bodied than the males.they all living together and range from 14" down to 2" no agro no problems.they are beautiful fish
