today i saw a pair of Caquetaia umbriferus in my friend's tank.they are about 7-9cm,one is bigg and the other is small .they are different from their dorsal fin.the small dorsal fin is black,my friend told me this is a female.Could differentiate the sexual from the dorsal fin color?

Umbees are notoriously difficult to sex. The black dorsal does mean its a girl. Long streamers and good color do not mean its a boy. Can you take a pic?

By the time the fish are around four inches, you should be able to distinguish sexes. Males begin to develop more blue spangling on the body and operculum, and the dorsal and anal fins will be slightly longer than those of the females. Males also appear a bit more elongated in shape when compared to the stockier females.
