I raise 4 of these diminutive CA from fry and they finally reach the size that I can take some pics to see if anyone can help me sex them. It's not easy to take pic from these small guys as they are very active and move in and out of the rock piles. The first pic is the smaller fish, about 1 inch, and the next 3 pics belong to the bigger fish, about 1.5 inch. I would hope that they would be a pair but the bigger fish chases the smaller fish away when it comes close.

This one is as colorful as the big one above but has a dark blotch on the dorsal fin. So is it a female?

This one is as big as and fights constantly with the big one above, so it doesn't behave like a lady.

There has been no romance between the two. They are equal in size, and only butt head and flare gill at each other whenever they meet. Other times they chase off the two smaller ones. I have them in a 75 gal with rock piles to hide, so there is still personal space for them to coexist as they are only 1 to 1.5" SL. These little fellows are rather aggressive for their size, and can't wait how they will make out when they reach mature size. Hopefully, they will pair up by then and make babies for the next generation.
