Do the males have long ventral fins and pointy dorsal fins? I have two. Neither have long ventral fins and pointy dorsal fins. One is turning black and the other is still the normal colors, but they are also only an inch and a half long.

Johnny I believe even in the males the dorsal and anal fin stay rounded. I've heard the defining factor in Cuban males is a larger black patch on their flanks. I have six that are from 1-2" and 2 of them have this black patch. I'm hoping that's an accurate way to identify them.

Imo I base it off the black spotting on the face. I notice males have intense black spotting on there gill plate and little bit bulky head
Thats my opinion
