From what I learned you can learn the sex from the back of the dorsal fin. On the male its longer with a thin membrain coming off it and the female is more of a rounded color.

Can you tell the sex from the eye color though? I have one that has yellow eyes and one that has blue eyes, can this help with sexing?

First, forget about the little streamers on the tip of the dorsal. Both male and female well-conditioned fish will have these. Look at the main part of the dorsal (top) fin. Males will have an arrow-shaped pointed dorsal and females will have a more squared-off blunt dorsal fin. I don't know of any eye-color related sexing.
