Sexing flowerhorn

I know this ones probably a long shot I have some good pictures though. Male or female. It also has started digging out gravel from one corner to the other making a nest I think.

I don’t know how to tell by the vent, but just based on looks, my guess would be male

Male. Vent is pointy and got a black tip. With some male fh they have a black point but females never have a black tip from my experience.

Males and females will make nests regardless of any other fish being present in the tank. It's part of their instincts.

Lol uk if ya never mentioned anything about it I would've never noticed his face in the reflection of the tank.

Btw you do have a very nice looking male FH there. Love his pearl wrap around his kok. Also love that his kok isn't just outrageously big either, I'd say the size he has is perfect. Hopefully he will give you many years of enjoyment to come.
