sexing green sunfish

You have to vent sex green sunfish to find out if they are male or female right? How do you do that?

You can usually tell by the shape and colors. Males tend to be darker and the females a lighter color and wider than the males.

I dont know for sire but im pretty sure sunfish are like cons, pink stomach means female and no color is male...im not sure though i just heard that

Males are darker. The fish in my signature is a male Green Sunfish. Females are usually a lighter color.
