Hello, this is my first post on MFK, and I need help sexing my Green Terror. Now it's 4 inches and it looks to be a female, however several signs make me believe it cold b a male. Firstly, before I bought this fish at the LFS it was banging against the glass trying to attack me, that attitude made me believe it was a male! Also the fins are somewhat long, which is another sign of being a male. Other then that it looks like a female...what do you think

100% female. Aside from the body shape/coloration, you can clearly see her "vent" in most of the pics. Notice the vent looks like the end of a small Q tip.

I'm no real expert on sexing cichlids, but I don't see clear shots of the vent in any of these pics. I can't say 100% this GT is female or male from these pics, especially not at 4 inches. How old is the fish?

Looking at the pics again, I think from slope of the head and fins, this fish could well be developing male characteristics. But, it's hard to say.

Female 100% no doubt. Blue beard, vertical white bars on each side of ocellus. Here's a closeup of a female's head followed by a male's.

The egg tube is visible all the time on a female, or temporarily when they're about to spawn?

4 inches and the eggs tube already show up pretty clear so i would say it's a female.
