Hello together,

in my last Thread i got told that it would be better if I put away my 2 green terrors because of space issues. Now one is still left and I m wondering if its a male or a female.
Maybe some of you guys can help me
To me it seems like a female
If this pics are not good enough i can update better ones.

One of the ways gender differencesshowup in Andinoacara, once they are old enough, is how the blue color striations in the dorsal appear.
In males, those striations are often more linear. Male below.

in females (below) they appear as blue spots, less linear.

it take some time for these striations to appear, so if the Andinoacara is "too" young they do not appear and gender cannot be determined.
Males, in GTs also tend to have more pointed unpaired fins, and more prominent colored borders on those unpaired fins.
Below is a youngster, impossible to gender determine until the differences above appear..
