hello all, i have 4 juvenile GTs in my 75g, i am going to take 2 of them back to my lfs, but the question is how do i tell a malke from a female, i originally thought i had 2 males and 2 females, but now that they've grown up a bit, i think i have 3 males and 1 femaleone of them is super colourful(male?) another looks almost the same but is a little smaller(male), i gave 2 that are way smaller, one is almost black, whereas the other small one is lighter in colour. i'll try to get some pics up
Cheers

As with most Cichlids Male green terrors grow larger and more colourful than females. And have longer, more pointed dorsal and anal fins They also grow the typical male cichlid nuchal bump (some times). They are capable of breeding at an early age. You should be able to get a breeding pair in a 55gallons tank. Just run a good filter on it.

thanks guys, they're a little small right now so i was having trouble figuring it out, on the next couple weeks i think i'll have a better idea. i am 99%sure i have 2 males and maybe 2 females(they're the smallest so its harder to tell.)

Cheers
