Hi, new to the forum but not to keeping tropical fish. Picked up 4 green terrors from my LFS the other day and they are all about 2.5 - 3 inches long and need some expertise on what sex they are.
I'm sure that one is a male but not so sure on the other 3. Sorry if the photos aren't great.

Thanks in advance guys.

Third picture down looks like a male you can see his nuchal hump coming in. The others i am not so sure but they all look like beautiful fish man!

They look to me as if they might all be males.

Thanks guys. No. 3 is the one I definitely know to be male. When I got him on Friday he had elongated dorsal fin and a slight nuchal hump. Now however he's changed dramatically. The nuchal hump is a lot more prominent and body seems deeper. Is this because he's reached sexual maturity quicker then the others? Even though they're all the same length roughly. Or had this change occurred because of his domancy within the tank?

I also think that number 2 is also male because of the elongated dorsal thin but it's the other 2 I'm not sure on. I'll try get some better photos of them and post them up later.

Thanks again.

These are the 2 I'm not so sure on, they both have damage to their dorsal fins which they've had since I picked them up from my LFS which could be why they don't seem as elongated as the others.

So turns out at least one of them were female, photo number 2 on the first post. (Shows how much I know). As hopefully you can see from the photo they've already paired and laid eggs all in just over a week. The question I have now is can I introduce a gold nugget pleco into their tank ? I didn't expect them to pair up so quick and adding a pleco was always the plan.

Any thoughts welcome

thanks
