Sexing ISTLANUM

Hey guys,

My Istlanum fry have now reached 2.5" and variations seem to be showing. I'm now needing to sex my larger fish. Are these two specimens opposite sexes? If so which is which?

#1 looks to be female...does it show any yellow with barring?
#2 looks male to me

this is the largest one that i have and looks to be male to me i can see a pointed papilla , the rest it's hard to tell as some of them are smaller and have less colour.

Heres a few more pics... I have noticed the possible male displaying to the possible female... no barring as yet but Fish 2 has a lot more red than the others and the fins seem to have fewer spangles

This is a adult female Istlanum in full breeding dress...

Based on the fact the females tend to show more red around the belly region I assum FISH 1 is a female.

They kind of remind me of Festae and Salvini where the females are the more brightly colored
