Hey mfk I was just curious to see what sex you think my Dempsey is, as I am trying to get a mate for him. I believe its a male. Thanks in advance.

that looks like a hybred. head shape is not right. they get there common name by there resemblance to the fighter, jack dempsey.

I edited your pics to make gender ID more obvious, to me looks male.
And to me doesn't appear to be a hybrid.
