Hi everybody

I'm new on this forum !! i've two juvenile managuenses (about 5 cm) and i'd want if if's possible to know at this size if it's male or female.

Pic 2 looks like a female, i have a pair that bred. You can tell a male from a female from their color. Males are redish in color while females are yellowish

:duh: that is true as far as the female Parachromis...alot of the females are yellowish. My old male jag had lots of spots on him and the feamle had half bars on her side
 
View attachment 847943 My female used to have a lot of vertical bars for a long time. As she got bigger they sort of broke up, but she still has sort of a horizontal bar, where as most males I've seen are completely spotted. So I think your first one is a female. Second one not so sure. Heres a pic of my female currently
