Sexing jaguar cichlid

Hello I’ve had Jaguars in the past had a real nice male but had to get rid of him. Regretted it for years and recently found one and got him for free with a credit I had he/she is around 10 inches I vented and am pretty sure I seen a papula above the anus indicating a male but I could also be doing it wrong. Can anyone tell me the sex of this jaguar please?

Thanks yea the last one I bought was a breeding pair so I knew it was a verified male.

Steep profile and spots on the lower jaw, usually indicate male.
For example its close cousin motaguense.
Female , torpedo profile, with no spots on the lower jaw.

Now a male, steeper profile, some spots on the lower jaw.

I have my opinion but the male/female sex thing for jags always becomes a debate. I can post vid of my female/male F1 pair I raised from my WC pair and try to fig for your self. whats age of it?

and this is a vid and tend to post when folks have the sexing question, female on right of divider, male on the left. male 16", female 14". about year and a half old brother and sister from same spawn.

Thanks. The first picture is my current jag and the last two pictures were of my last jag. He had a very rounded face I think it was deformed from hitting the glass constantly trying to bite everything that walks past.

I’ve had a ton of Jags and I’d say that’s a male as well. Nice looking fish.
