I know he or she is small but I’m curious. Just purchased today. It is very active and eating already on first day in the tank which I’m glad about. I’m alittle concrenced that there’s some poo or excrement hanging that’s been there for a couple hours. Normal?
Thank you

You'll need clearer pictures and even then it might be too soon to tell. And you might need to treat for parasites. It shouldn't have poo like that.

J JoshNY30 honestly I can't really make any recommendations. I've never delt with white stringy poop before, other then an oscar with camalanus worms. I used febenzanol(sp?) That was a nightmare.
If you look around on here you will find lots of people that have treated for this condition. It is very common. They will be able to advise you better then me.

There are a few things the poo could be, one of the most common is hexamita, which is an intestinal parasite. If he is eating, that's a very good sign, as it will be easier to treat him and it means it's not too far gone. The recommended treatment is to feed pellets soaked in Epsom salt solution. The salts will clear his system out. If that doesn't work, metronidazole is more effective but more harsh to the fish as well.
