I have these 4 bifasciatus (at least I purchased them as bifas). They are 3 - 4.5 inches. There are two that are larger, significantly more aggressive, and are exhibiting more color (especially red spangling on the face, dorsal and caudal fins, and gill plates). These two larger fish don't get along too well either, and the larger one dominates the smaller one. I have heard that typically males grow faster and are the larger juvies and that they color up sooner. However I've been sold females that I purchased as males based on these characteristics, especially Paratheraps sp. Any thoughts on this?
