Sexing rays

You have to look at the fins or "flippers" from underneath the ray ....Males will have claspers which are protrusions that look like a thumb on the fin, whereas, females will not. If the ray is large enough, you will see the claspers without having to look underneath. They'll usually stick out from under the ray's disc.
