After starring at my tank for hours i THINK i have 3 males and 5 females
from what i learned about sexing rbp the females are wider and thicker and males are alittle smaller and thinner right? Any tips on sexing rbp? When they were smaller they all looked the same to me but as they've grown bigger i can start to see a differance and i might start naming them soon (yea i like to name my fish) they're about 4-7 ins now with the biggest being 7in which i think is a female and the smallest being a male which is about 4in kind of hard to measure cause they're always swimming around

It's the dip or no dip in belly that's the real give away. But thickness and size almost always matches belly profile. Females tend to grow faster and bigger and usually much thicker. But if fish are obese or ages are unknown you can't go by size & thickness imo. Most say you can't or they aren't sexable but it can definitely be done if you know what your looking for.

Looking at profile view of the fish. Males will have a flatter belly (little to no dip). Females bellies will dip down giving a much rounder look.

By dip I mean how far the belly hangs down or doesn't hang down. The bottom of males will look almost flat.
