A little hard to tell from the pics not being close up. Fish appears stressed out (prominent barring and faded colors) may have to wait until fish is settled and get some close pics. I'd say female though, due to the profile of the head and apparent lack of facial markings.

A little hard to tell from the pics, and being an immature specimen, but I would agree with Don (Mr.Manaconda), that it looks more female at this time. Here are pics of a male and female of mine. Note the facial markings (or lack thereof).
