Sexing Salvini

I picked up two from my LFS and I think I ended up with 1 male and 1 female since they were defending a cave together and every one else was up at the top of the tank. Here are the pics. Let me know what you think

Looks like you're on the money with the sexing. Second is definitely a Female, but the first has a very slight chance of also being Female, but I'd also say Male.

Looks like a lovely pair. But I have to agree that the first picture may also be a female.

Thanks for the replies. I'll see how they work out together. So far they're swimming around and settled under a piece of driftwood. I'll keep you posted.

The first pic does look like a female because its so colorful, but there is an awful lot of blue on that fish which more than likely means male. Beautiful pair!
