Just found this forum and hopefully can get some help. We've had 3 Severum's in our 125 gallon tank for years now. 2 Green and 1 Gold. We've noticed lately that the biggest Green has been staying with the Gold in one corner of the tank. If the smaller Green comes near them, the bigger one goes after him... Same with 2 of our Dalmation Catfish. If they go to that corner, both Severum's will attack them. Is there a way to find out what sex they all are? They used to swim together and had no problems. I've attached pictures of all 3. Hope I did it right. The bigger Green has the yellow eyes and the colored bottom, the smaller Green is all dark and no other color.

Husband put a tape measure up to the tank...

Bigger (yellow eyes) is topping at 6 inches
Small (all dark) is at 5 inches
Gold is 5 inches

We never heard of a Rotkeil one... Just Green, Gold and Red... I adopted them when I worked at a local pet shop. Guy didn't want them anymore and since we just upgraded to a 125 from a 75, they fit in perfect...

They are beautiful fish, especially once they develop their full colors. If you look up 'rotkeil severum" in google images you will find pictures of it full grown. I love the variety of color especially for one fish.

Most likely the first two would be male and female, as you can imagine. The third will likely be male if he is going out of his way to be there, ime. Looks like 2 H. Efasciatus (greens) to me.
