I saw a couple posts already about seixng aros, but i had a couple quesitons i oculdnt find answers to. At what size can you begin to tell the sex? I have two aro's right now, both about 6-7" They dont leave eachothers side haha they love swimming together. Just want to know when i will be able to sex them, and if they are opposite sex what age they would be able to have babies. Thanks guys

24"+ but its hard too determine sex 100% for silver aro, they need too be at least 4years old too mate and need a big tank too have babys

would 180g be large enough? I plan on having them for a while....is it better if they live together from babies as well? or should i seperate them for a better chance of breeding

of course not the 180 wont be big enough,im suggesting you get a 8x4x2 or bigger

8x4x2 at least....definitely do able...im kind of pumped haha then i will have a 125, and a 180 for other ****. I wanted to build a pond...but i dont have enough room for a pond unfortunetaly and it snows in NY haha so to cold outside...but should i keep them together for now? or seperate them? They seem to enjoy eachother they swim together, never leave eachothers side...im kind of excited to see where this goes...

:nono: there attitude can still change ;)

If they like swimming together why would you split them? As the young man said they might change quickly so it would be a good idea for you to get them a bigger home, if they do fight at least you have room to split them if you must.

So you just got this second silver aro, right? Be-aware you could wake up tomorrow morning to a heavily beaten aro. Hopefully it will work out, nothing better then a pair of aro swimming in unison
