Sexing!

Guys i recently hav bought three red eared slider turtles and was just wondering how to sex them.Tell me how do i sex them manually.there are some pics if you want to.


And ya another thing i hav a clown knife and a red snamkehead(channa micropeltes) .How do i sex them. My clown is 5'' long .It has 8 spots on one side and 10 on other.help plz.

Yeah.. I think you need to be more conserned about getting a bigger tank!

Clown Knifes are immaterial. You cannot sex them just by looking at them. Im pretty sure its the same with snakeheads. Oh by the wat, your gonna need at least a 5x2ft tank to house the clown. And the snakehead grows 2-3ft. Just do a google image search to see the size these things get.

Actually there are sexual differences that in direct, side-by-side comparison, you can see. The differrences become clearer as they age. Females are larger as adults so any red ear that is longer than 5" is probably female. Males have longer claws on the front feet than females, their cloaca is slightly farther forward, and they tend to have a slightly concave plastron (females tend to have a slightly convex plastron).

Definitely need a bigger tank by now. Both fish probably outgrew the tank already unless they're on a strict diet.
