Got a couple of 3"ers from a pond up the way. Can't see differences beyond light/dark so far as the (vaguely) smaller & lighter got hammered & fins shredded as soon as the bigger/meaner got settled (separated now). Wondering if I need to turf (release) one and/or swap it, or to continue with this set and see how it goes.
In the 50gal now, so also interested in possibility of putting into the 100gal with an American eel & a big-mouth sleeper (Gobiomorus dormitor) and a high-speed black mullet (Agonostomous monticola), of which there was a school and will be again soon. My expectation is that the general consensus will be "What? No, of course not. What're yi, han Eejit?"
Failing all, I'll grow 'em for a few more inches and let them go again, read: swap'em out for small ones again.
