I've tried getting a shot of the male but whenever I whip the camera out he decides to be shy and hides in his cave. My acutes used to be the same way.

Besides, he's a huge lunker but nowhere near as pretty as the female. The only color is red in his dorsal and caudal. He's lost the majority of his spots with the exception of his head and I swear he's flipping me off when I try to take his pic.

I'll keep trying. Sooner or later I'll get a decent pic of him.
