A long while ago, some of you may remember (probably not) I posted my brackish water tank.

Here it is redone!

They are now living in a 45 gallon mangrove estuary tank. I have the gravel slopped up on one side to grow mangrove under a florescent grow light hanging from the ceiling. This is actually quite and efficient method for brackish tanks. you have to be a little more creative for these then you do with standard freshwater.

I still have my Purple spotted goby
2 dragonfish
1 mollie

The new comers are:
1 Archer
1 Catfish (brackish species)

the catfish is a Colombian shark, not a real shark of course, just like to warn you he gets 24" and will need more then a 45, and sometimes need more then only brackish conditions, though it is nice to see one being kept properly for a change, congrats!

im sure you already know that a lot of those fish get pretty big and you may have bioload problems in the future, so i wont get into that, but the tank looks great.

is that a fw snowflake eel i see, i love those mines about 9in

Thank you! I actually have some more coming soon. It really is the best set up for brackish since the mangrove will be on the high end of the crushed coral, the roots will help filter out the waster will the powerhead sucks in the dirt at the low end of the tank. Works Perfectly!

look at the picture of my whole tank to see what I mean
