I'm setting up a new tank. N I have a 16" fire eel to house. Right now I just have a castle in the tank he is in now but half of him sticks out of it and I'm having a hard time finding sumtin big enough for him. Please share wut u have!

This was what I used to use in my college days.P1010426.JPG

i make rock caves in my tank but my yellow tail eel just hides in the sand and my striped peacock eel is always out and moving

PVC tubes/driftwood... rocks work okay but be careful to make sure they are settled well.. make sure they are on the bottom glass.. not just stacked on-top of the gravel... the bigger the eel the more likely they are to cause a rock pile to crash over. Even the smaller ones are alot stronger then they appear to be.

Yea I don't want to do rocks. I have a stingray and more to come so I don't need possible injuries. And I tried PVC. I couldn't keep up with algea growing on it.

I put PVC in the tank and my ZZ never used it, he just hides under driftwood every once in awhile otherwise he's out swimming the tank looking for some bloodworms.
