Ok i'll start the ball rolling.

In my tank there are 5 bichirs; an ornate, dehelzi and 3 senegals.
And each of them has a great personality which i'll like to share with you all.

First of is the Delhezi, named Lion

Being at 4.5", he is the most aggressive all the bichirs. I called him lion as he established his territory throughout the entire front part of the tank. Any other bichirs which attempts to eat sinking pellets at the front usually backs down when he arrives.

Next up is Midnight, the ornate bichir.

I'm guessing most of you know the reason why is he called midnight He is the largest bichir of the tank, being at 6". However he isn't aggressive like Lion. In fact he is the shyest bichir of them all. Usually hangs out at the right corner of the aquarium, but i manage to get a pic of him in the front as the delhezi was busy chasing the senegals away. I have to drop pellets specifically at the corners for him or he would have starve to death. While other bichirs are busy swimming throughout the tank, he keeps staring at me (even as im typing this) as my laptop is positioned beside the tank. But whenever I look back at him, he would find some place to hide.

Look at this :)

The Twins senegals are called that because they look so much alike and hang out together most of the time. I seriously gave up trying to identify them individually.

One of them has spine curvature and the other eat like a glutton which makes it look like he has spine curvature too. Both of them are between 3-4".

The last member of the family is Runt, the smallest senegals of them all at 3".

She usually hangs out at the top of the tank. Being at the lowest of the hierarchy, she almost never gets any sinking carnivore pellets. But she is the fasting bichir of them all. I've seen the dehelzi and the twins chasing it, and neither parties are able to keep up with her amazing outburst of speed. Most of her diet consist of FD krills that I'll throw in every now and then.

Ok i believed that covers every member of my bichir family. How about yours? Share your bichirs here and show us how awesome they really are.
