one time when my RTC was about 2 feet, he ate a sucker fish which was one third his size. the problem was that this HUGE sucker has horns coming out from the side of its fins. i saw the horn actually poke straight out of my RTCS side and a little bit of blood pouring out. i caught my RTC out of the water, took pliers and yanked out the entire sucker fish's body. the towel i used got stuck in the fill openings of my RTC and he was breathing heavily (and noisily) i panicked and just kept pulling the towel until the entire cloth travelled through the gill opening and out the other end. phew. that was two years ago. my RTC is now thriving in my 18 foot outdoor pond. he is well over 3 feet now and is as fat as ever.

yikes channa micropeltes (aka giant snakeheads) are quite the beasts. i used to keep a couple of 3 footers in a fiber glass tub and covering the top with steel cage with weights on top. the snakeheads always used to smash right thru only to end up in my garden! it ultimately led to one of them dying of internal bleeding. the other 2 had to be given away to the zoo because they just kept on jumping which was scary for mum. i hate catching them. they r powerhouses

My LSN injured me before. lmao

Worse was probably when my jau bit my channel catfish in half. He didn't make it of course. With ones that lived. I had a featherfin loose both his eyes and lived fine for 2 years.
