I was thinking about having a section dedicated to great finds on places like craigslist, facebook, area like that. You would do a screenshot of the deal you found and post it there.
Is this a stupid idea?

Hmm that sounds good. Should there be a limit on gallonage? Like it has to be above a certain number of gallons or has to be part of a packageneral deal if it's under a certain number of gallons? Like no one really wants to hear about the time you got a 5 gallon for free.

Any tank under 75 gal not worth mentioning,
All fish and other relevant products could be mentioned

How about 40 gallon breeders and up?

Yeah, and people can post bundle deals they found like if someone got a 10 gallon, a 29, and a 38 for a good deal.
Hmm, let's make the bundle deal 50 gallons worth, what ya say?

I can tell you about my best come-up on this thread. I was scrolling through Craigslist on 4th of July 2017, and saw a post labeled “curb alert” in the free section. I personally don’t go to curb alert posts because all the good stuff is usually gone. There was a photo posted on the thumbnail but I wasn’t able to make out what was in it. I clicked on the ad. This person had their driveway FULL of stuff. In this sea of items, I saw a small 30 gallon tank. The word “fish” was not posted in the ad so I figured maybe it was still there. Against my better judgement, I drove out to the house. I get there and to my surprise, the tank is still there! The lady comes out and offers me another tank. She walks me into the garage and shows me a 55 gallon. I elect to take that one as well since I have a few friends asking me to find them a deal to get them into the hobby. Then, she asks if I would like a fish. Sure! What kind of fish is it? She replies, “I don’t know, come see it. “ she leads me inside and I see one single silver dollar in a 125 gallon tank. I say sure I’ll take the fish! I had a 120 tall at the time. She says, if you want the tank too, take it. I was living with my parents and didn’t have the space for such a long tank. I told her that with reluctance, I had to pass. She tells me, look, if you don’t take this tank, I’m going to take a hammer to it. OKAY OKAY DONT DO ANYTHING CRAZY! Let me come back with another truck and I’ll get it out of here for you!!
So in one day, off of a craigslist curb alert that I wasn’t even going to go to, I acquired a 30 tall, 55 long, and 125 long. The 30 went to my brother as his first saltwater tank, the 55 to my friend who set up his first freshwater, and the 125 to the living room of my new house. Also, each tank came with filtration and gravel. The 125 came with the stand. It also came with 3 canister filters which I sold with my 120 tall and set up a sump.
My greatest come-up so far!

Before that, was my 120 I mentioned. I picked that up for $50 and it came with a pond filter, sump, stand and canopy. Plus crushed coral substrate.

Definitely do a thread. You're not getting a section for this though lol, werew trying to cut down on the number of sections as it is lol

C Chicxulub could you change the title to “your best finds” and move it to the general area?
