Would It be possible for Cherry shrimp to sit in the same tank as an oscar and breed?

I would have dividers set in place so the Oscar couldn't get to them, but the thing is, my tank is a 46 gallon, so its fairly small to accommodate shrimp and an Oscar. They would have about a foot of space from one wall, and then the height would be about a foot and a half.

My parents absolutely refuse to let me get another tank (for free from my girlfriend) BUT just in case they change their minds, would a 10 gallon be big enough for the shrimp?

Thanks

no mate.
on oscar alone needs a bigger tank than that.

breed the shrimp in that and get a bigger tank for the oscar.
if the O gets hungry for some live shrimp, no divider in a 46 is gonna stop him!

Thanks for the input.

Need to look into a bigger tank then.
Agh, new furniture for tank as well...

possible the ten gallon will be okay for breeding your red cherry shrimp....the 40 gallon will be okay for the oscar for the time being only until it gets close to 7"...and that's pushing it...
