Hey guys,
i just want to Share my new arowana with you.
Its a 24k crossback from sing arowana singapore.
He/seh is born at 2nd June 2015 and is already 19 Inches big.
I think its very big for his young age.
The previous owner gave him a handfull feeders every day.
So far i am very happy how he behaves with its tankmates.
He is in a community tank with cichlids and rays.
My last golden was very agressive to his tankmates.
I would like to hear some meanings from the experts about the potential of my arowana.
Will he ever cross at his back?
Also he has some strange dark markings at his tail.
Does anybody know what this could be?

Gorgeous looking fish ! Beautiful lips ( very sexy ), no overbite or pj, big scales, smooth face, good colors, no popped eyes and/or dropped eyes. Definitely a show piece except a little damage to the barbels. I'm pretty sure your fish will have its 6th level scales crossed as it ages. Again, I wish I could own one of these beauties in the near future. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks guys.
I am not an expert in asian arowanas .
I liked the look of this one and bought it for a very good price.
Now i am even more happy because he has a good quallity.
Will the barbles grow back to normal ?
Does anybody know whats up with the black scales at his tail area ?
I am guessing he had an injury and now they need time to get colour again .

Unless it's a bad pic. Was he ever I'll or gotten beat up at some point? The scales on this part of his backside is uneven and am I seeing little bubbles on the scales? It could be a birth defect and nothing to worry about if it's healthy and eating. Apart from that it's starting to cross so let's see how it comes out in the future. Keep us updated

There are no bubbles on his scales.
Its just Air bubbles from the air stone.
I wouldnt say it looks uneven just dark in some areas.
It could be that it was beaten up a little.
The Last owner couldnt say anything about it.
I hope the black areas will disapear after some time.
I will keep you updated!

Beauty!

Reg the black coloring of tail, I wouldn't worry too much since Its appearing evenly on both sides. Also there seem to be fight marks on his Caudal (tail) fins too. Monitor and ensure there are no fungal/bacteria infection. Barbels may or may not grow back sometimes. Just give it time and take care of water parameters and feeding.

Good luck!

I have Seen your Aro, beautiful showpiece!
Very nice pictures.
I have noticed that the black areas are getting lighter.
Hopefully they disappear.
Do you have a black background at your tank?
Everybody says you must have a white background to push the colours of your aro.
But i hate it, it looks terrible in my opinion.
