good lookin fishWAHOOOOOOO!! Another Hoplarchus psittacus keeper!! 
!! Awesome! How many you got?! Where are they from? Brazil? Rio Orinoco? How big are they? Man, that makes me wanna take pictures of mine really bad now...I've got four of the red breasted strain from Brazil... Largest one is about 4.5 to almost 5"...just eveballin it....and the smallest is about 3". Absolutely awesome fish! We should start a Parrot Picture thread...lol....here in the cichlid...and each week post pictures of progress! Nice Ferds as well! Very nice! You must not live in the states, lol...pain in the toosh to get Ferds here. Never really had much interest in them...but your pictures are starting to make me think otherwise. What other fish you got? And Crenicichla? !!
Quick question...i have spray painted the backs and sides of my tank black, and put in black sand, so my tank looks rather dark...lol...need better lighting. Thing is, i can't decide if i like the looks of the fish better on dark sand or light sand....have you had any experience with this? Anyone else? Should i just get better lightin, cuz i'm gonna anyway...lol.

They're the red-breasted strains from Brazil, got a total of 8 of them, on the average they're around 4.5". Love looking at them everyday, they're always hungry
, I think they see me as one large can of pellets 
.Dang! 8? LOL! Manila? Where is that? Canada? England? Where did you get them? Hopefully not from Rapps, lol...cuz GEEZ! thats a lotta money! They are pimp fish! Absolutley love mine as well! I just did a water change tonight so tomorrow I'll try and get some pictures of my babies. Mine seem a little darker than yours, the splotches and such show up more...might be my black sand...lol....oh well! Awesome!
Oh...lol...well....that makes more sense then....you guys suck!! LOL! you can get Asain Arowanas, Snakeheads, AND all the same cichlids we can get...just not fair!
