Just thought i'd share my 2 new OScars, they are now in the pond with my arowana community.





both are about 6-7 inches.

Do they have to be fed daily? as my arowanas are already quite big and only fed every 2-3 days.

Feeding does not have to be daily , if you can ensure that both your oscars get a fair share of the feed.
i feed my fishes once in 2 - 3 days and they are perfectly fine.
BTW , your oscars are good looking , how big are your arowanas and what is the size of your pond

thanks The arowanas are 24 - 26 inches already.
the pond is 12 b 8 x 4.5 feet

one of the oscars seem to like prawns, while the other likes superworms.
ui got them from different owners.

Feeding frequency has been the subject of a lot of debate lately. There isn't any real consensus. In my opinion, there's nothing wrong with feeding just a few times per week.

thanks, for arowanas, I feel its better to just feed a few times weekly vs daily feeding, except for juvenile arowanas.
But for cichlids , before i always feed them daily.
Just not sure of the effect now that they are with my arowanas and arowanas get fed every few days
