So... had a miserable experience with my tank springing a leak, and absolutely poor customer service from Tenecor (taking 3 days to return calls after tank starts leaking and pumps burned out). Luckily, I was able to patch the leak myself with tooling on hand, and ReeFlo sent me two new pumps next day air free of charge, before I even sent them the dead ones. Water temps dropped to below 70 for a bit while I was replumbing everything.

While that was going on, I caught this shot of Carlos the guitarfish and Vlad the nurse shark together (Vlad was actually sneaking some squid out from under Carlos). They typically don't even acknowledge each other.

to bad about your troubles, where did the tank leak? Thats pretty good service from reeflo. You're lucky if Dlophin pumps return your email. How the other project going? I have 2 Cal. Rds. coming from sharkdealer hopeully soon. I see a starfish in there, is that for cleanup and can they live in 68 degree water?

All the inhabitants survived, temp is back to 78 after about 48 hours bringing temps back up. The starfish are there for cleanup, and they really do a good job - plus they add color to the tank (and I have a HUGE bristle star that people frequently mistake for an octopus).

Leak was along the overflow wall, so that the flow to the sump >> pump output, so it overflowed the sump, and then eventually overflowed to where there wasn't enough water in the tank/sump combo.

The other project is slowly slowly progressing - the rains have really messed up my timetable.

yea you guys out west have had lots of rain where the east have had lots of snow. Should be changing now that spring is on the way. Oh did your rays pull through? Last time I heard they were not doing so good.

No, they passed away due to a severe bacterial infection. If I'd known the signs better early on, I could have saved them, but I didn't. And Dean of Aquatop is a scumbag thief.

Thats too bad about your Rays, are you going to go with them again in you big setup. What, did the guy not replace them or something?:irked:

Nah, he refused to admit that the sickness was his fault. And then suggested that the people at the MBA and another facility were "out to get him"...

I'll post more pics of the fish once I clean up. It's still a warzone down there. The guitarfish is getting BIG. I'd love to find a female for her.

I hear ya about Tenecor Service, I contacted them to ask for a few different tank sizes as I wasn't sure what size I wanted to go with. Took them like 3 days to get back to me, and it was prices only, no other info, no "if there is anything else I can do for you let me know." And I had to call them about an aquarium I had purchased that I wasn't sure if it was okay took me two days to get ahold of someone, and they were real quick to try to sell me a new one, but never told me if there was anything wrong with the one I had, no matter how many times I asked. And they told me they couldn't look up the tank by the serial number on the bottom... So what is the point of putting it on there?

But that is an awesome picture of those two together... Glad everything is doing better.

Hi all,
Sorry to hear about the shoddy service on our end. We have been working on several large projects and I am sad to hear that it has been affecting out customers in this way. Please know that we will try and not have any repeats of this service.
