is there such thing as a lizard shark. i saw one at a lfs that was labeled lizard shark. it was about 18" long and was light brown with white spots. just curious.

Sounds like a bamboo shark. I've never heard of a lizard shark.

probably a coral cat or whitespotted bamboo

the only thing that comes close to what i saw was a leopard shark but this shark was brownish with white rounded spots

Hard to tell exactly which species it may be - without a photo to ID it by. After all there's several dozen of species of benthic sharks. And If you include all sharks - then it's more like 400 species.

Lizard Shark is another common name for a Frilled Shark or Chlamydoselachus anguineus. You wont find one of those at a lfs though.

Well SG130 can.LOL.Anyway,it's hard to tell with out a photo ID but Im putting my money on a whitespoted bamboo
