Not particularly dangerous. They typically won't bite unprovoked, but they are curious.

What's the different between Melanopterus and Limbatus when they're juvenile?

Sorry I didn't see this question earlier. The biggest factor will be size. Black tip reef shark pups (melanopterus) will be smaller. Visually, there are very little differences when looking at the two species side by side, since coloration will very slightly between localitly.
