Hello. I am posting here to collect as much information as I can regarding sharks(bull) in New York rivers. I am targeting rivers like the Susquahana, or any upstate NY river. If anyone has any information or accounts of mysterious fish or sharks in rivers(NY) where sharks are uncommon, then please share here. Rivers I have in mind are the Susquahana, Chemung, Cohoctan, Salmon, and the Geneseo.

I am looking for this info, as I want to try to catch and tag sharks in these rivers, but I want some possible sighting before I waste my time. I am going to use this to try to track shark's movements in unplausable rivers, and try to find out when and where they go through the year. I plan on posting my finds/videos on youtube if I ever got the opportunity to do any of this.

Thanks guys, and any help is appreciated!

I'll wait for some of our NY shark people to post. I bet you find bulls in the rivers to pup seasonally.

What tags are you thinking of using?

Thanks ZooDiver for getting the thread started. Also, I plan on using star-oddi fish gps transmitters. These are over $700 a piece, plus software and receivers, so if you have any other cheaper alternative, please tell me. :).

I am not sure but isn't a little chilly in upstate ny for bull sharks to hang out or drop their pups. But if their here I would sure like to find them.

I was thinking the same thing but you never know anymore.
