Would any of the following 'sharks' be able to live with a red tail black shark?
Roseline shark, tri colour shark, bala shark

If there are any other shark looking fish that can live with the red tail black shark feel free to let me know!!

When I searched Tri-color shark, Bala came up. Idk how big your tank is but I wouldn't get Balas, they get huge (like over a foot) and also need to school (so you'll need a bunch)

they might be okay with a Roseline Shark, they don't look to get to big (though I don't really know much about them or their aggression)

Large enough tank u shouldnt have a problem balas. but i mean LARGE. i dont know about roseline.

I have a 75 gallon tank. Will the red tail black shark fight with the Bala's though? i know how how aggressive they can be to something similar to their own species

My experience with Redtail black sharks there pretty much loners. In fact they will fight with other Redtail sharks or even other Rainbow sharks in the tank. I kept a Rainbow shark for a long time with Bala sharks they are very similar to Redtail black sharks. Bala sharks and Redtail sharks are different fish different behaviors they don't hang out together. I would say Redtails can be more aggressive then Bala's for there size. Keeping them together normally should be fine. But may chase the Bala's if there the same size. I had my Rainbow shark chase other fish around that were about the same size.

I think the redtail gets an undeserved bad rap. Not saying they can't be aggressive. They are loners. Balas do get big, but it takes years for them to get a foot long. I have kept many balas with redtails and had no problems. Balas are very fast and powerful fish for their size. The redtail couldn't mess with them too much if he wanted to. Rumor has it the Balas are jumpers also so keep lid tight. I never had one jump. Mine got around 9 inches before I gave them to a buddy of mine before I moved. That was in a 75. Also make sure you get at least three of them. They are not really loners and like to be together. I love Balas, and if I ever do a "friendly" tank again they will definitely be part of it.

Thank you! Bala's re quite the fish. At my LFS they have a huge display tank with like 3-4 HUGE bala sharks, nothing ive ever seen before. I just know from past experince not to get something looking like a red tail black shark because he goes nuts on them.

With my red tail though, i dont find him a loner that much to be honest. Although he's the only kind in my tank, he likes to hang out with my Black Ghost Knife in his hiding spot with no confrentation. Its quite funny
