He didn't need to jump all the way out of the water, that great white was just showing off.

maybe it had to. if the seal is on the surface, something as big as the greatwhite has to kill it with force (if its a big seal) and usually the best way is to come at it really fast from underneath, which helps to avoid detection. hence fast speed, upward direction = jump in the air with a seal in mouth

its actually on the west coast of africa i believe

surfboards?? like to simulate a surfer? they dont attack surfers much... ive seen other sharks but never even seen a great white when im out in the water.
